Lamborghini Wants You To Know That The Urus Is Very Practical, Too

A Lamborghini that can take the whole squad and their luggage for a weekend getaway? Say no more, because the Urus is what you’ve been looking for.

It’s the brand’s most family-oriented vehicle ever – and that includes the classic Espada and LM002. In developing the Urus, Lamborghini says that is has paid attention not just to fast takeoffs and high-speed cornering, but practicality too.

In fact, the automaker claims that the front seats have been designed to accommodate people up to 2.05 meters (6.89 feet) tall. So, unless you’re Shaquille O’Neal, you should have no problem driving the Urus. Also, the rear seat can take up to three passengers, but two is perhaps the number to go for in order to travel in comfort.

At 616 liters (21.75 cu-ft) in the five-seat version, the boot space is fairly decent. It’s 194 liters (6.85 cu-ft) smaller compared to the latest Volkswagen Touareg. And while that might sound like a lot, it really is not bad at all for a vehicle that hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds and has a 305 km/h (190 mph) to speed.

Moreover, boot capacity can be increased by folding down the rear seats, which offer a 40:20:40 configuration, the tailgate is electrically operated and there’s even a functional load assist tray to help with those heavy suitcases.

“The Urus features the largest range of options ever presented on a Lamborghini”. That’s the company’s way of telling those who can afford to spend at least $200,000 (its MSRP in the U.S.) that they can enjoy natural leather and Alcantara, wood, aluminum or carbon fiber trim and a host of new technology items, from the three TFT screens at the front to the rear-seat entertainment system. Plus, of course, the most aggressively designed SUV currently available on planet Earth.
