Bhopal: Various places experienced rains on Thursday. The state has witnessed rain and thundershower activities for the last couple of days. Moreover, hailstorm activities have also wreaked havoc over the region and several crops have suffered damage.
Areas of Mandsaur, Neemuch, Dewas and Ujjain in the state have been the worst sufferers. The crops like Wheat, Fenugreek, Black Gram, Coriander, Mustard and Lentils and others have been the ones seeing the most amount of damage so far.
These showers are expected to continue and no relief is foreseen. Eastern parts of the state will continue to witness rainfall activities, while the western regions will see a reduction in rainfall activities. At temperature front, sharp rise have been recorded at various places.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 32 degree Celsius which was 4.4 degree Celsius above normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 17.4 degree Celsius which was 5 degree Celsius above normal. It was 3.6 degree Celsius rise. Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 31.1 degree Celsius which was 2.2 degree Celsius above normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 18.6 degree Celsius which was 6.9 degree Celsius above normal.
Pachmarhi recorded a rise of nine degree Celsius. Gwalior recorded a rise of 6 degree Celsius while Rajgarh recorded 6.9 degree Celsius and Shajapur recorded a rise of 7.7 degree Celsius. Ujjain recorded a rise of 7.6 degree Celsius. Guna and Hoshangabad recorded 5.3 degree Celsius. Khahuraho recorded 5.6 degree Celsius rise.

According to Meteorological department, rain is likely at Bhopal, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Indore, Hoshanbagad, Ujjain divisions while hail is likely at Rewa, Shahdol, Ujjain, Sagar, Gwalior, Chambal, Bhopal, and Jabalpur divisions in the next 24 hours.
