ESCAPE TO MUSIC

With a musically diverse lineup, multiple carefully curated stages and lively experience zones, you have plenty to choose from at the sixth edition of Vh1 Supersonic. The line-up features big names from across genres – undisputed king of dance music Marshmello, experimental electronic music whiz Bonobo Live with his incredible live set, and even dance floor smashers like Troyboi and Tropkillaz. That’s not all, there will be over 20 international acts. One of UK’s biggest drum and bass live acts Rudimental (DJ set) make their way to India, along with post punk indie rock champions and incredible live performers Two Door Cinema Club, who are all set to perform in the country for the first time. Another unexpected addition and a first for India is international rapper Jaden Smith, who will perform his much-awaited debut album Syre, which was three years in the making and is known for its absolute top-shelf production. With the festival dipped in dance, ambient, hip hop, indie rock, drum and bass, techno, house, reggae music and more, Vh1 Supersonic has successfully brought together the biggest and most diverse line-up of the festival season.

Besides the stellar line-up, Supersonic is also known for its bustling experiences. Presented by Budweiser Experiences and powered by American Tourister and FastTrack, the two-day festival will have a thoughtfully curated Superflea and food market — a paradise for shoppers with gourmand delicacies to relish in. The Beer Garden will serve the finest beer with a beautiful display of lights with happy hours between 12 noon-4.30pm. You can also unwind with foot massages and get your hands dirty with adult colouring setups. With elevated ramps for differently-abled, uncompromising women-safety initiatives, free water and more, the festival doesn’t just bring you top-notch artists but it also weaves together a thoughtful experience like no other. Especially for women, there are also women-only bars, special quick response teams patrolling the grounds, and a tuck shop that will never leave you in a lurch when it comes to basic essentials.

The festival curator, Nikhil Chinapa said, “Vh1Supersonic continues to break new ground and push boundaries with our diverse lineup of artists. Jaden Smith, Two Door Cinema Club, Gaiser and Breathe Carolina will all be playing their first ever gigs in India. Rudimental return to the festival with the release of their brand new album Toast To Our Differences. I’m incredibly excited to know that fans are going to experience an avalanche of new music, new genres and brand new experiences at our festival in Pune.” If music is your escape, and you await the perfect experience, this is the festival for you.
