Cadillac Shows Its Flirtatious Side, Sends Racy Tweets To Rivals

Valentine’s Day can get a little lonely and it appears Cadillac was desperately looking for love.

In a series of tweets, Cadillac sent flirty messages to a handful of other luxury automakers. While Tesla and Mercedes-Benz didn’t play along, Cadillac did get a handful of playful responses from BMW and Jaguar.

In response to Cadillac’s meow tweet, Jaguar responded by saying “Should we Escalade this to the next level?” Cadillac followed up by saying “Just don’t leave scratch marks” to which Jaguar responded “Power-sliding into the DMs.”

In the case of BMW, Cadillac said “Is your GPS working? Because we’re lost in your headlights.” BMW used to opportunity to highlight its angel eye headlights, while Cadillac suggested “Let’s dim our headlights and see where this thread takes us.”

While Cadillac was pretty flirty in most their messages, they gave Lexus a backhanded compliment by saying “We don’t care what anyone says. We think your big grille is really attractive.” The Japanese automaker wasn’t amused as they fired back with “Aren’t you a bit old for us? *swipes left*”

This led Cadillac to say “You kiss your mother with that grille?” Lexus responded with a gif noting they were done with the conversation.

Cadillac’s tweets got a lot of attention, but it’s notable they didn’t attempt to court Lincoln. It remains unclear why the brand skipped their cross town rival, but it’s likely because Cadillac wanted to show itself as a premium brand on the same level of as its more prestigious competition.

There’s no word on whether or not Cadillac got lucky last night, but if we see a new Cimarron in nine months – it’s time the hide the booze.
