Rajshri Films takes a break from opulent sugary-sweet romances with this bitter-sweet saga about three young doctors-to-be, Namit (Prit Kamani), Abheer (Anshuman Malhotra) and Surjo (Tushar Pandey) having a fallout following the entry of a pretty junior Manjari (Simran Sharma). Unfortunately, the treatment is no different from their regular fare. Also, the film doesn’t feel contemporary even though characters are shown using modern gadgets and connecting through social networks.
Namit is the one narrating the story, telling us about their falling out and how Manjari’s one call, years later, has them coming back together in an effort to heal. While the actors are fairly likeable, the long-drawn narrative, typical Rajshri flourishes of song and dance, nostalgia-laced memories, lacklustre tempo and cushioned dramatics leave you a tad distended.
Dialogues sound frivolous and much of the narrative goes around in circles trying to give import to meaningless frictions. Editing is pretty much indulgent given the attention flagging runtime. The narrative is a little too old-fashioned to attract the attention of today’s youngsters. It’s really a pity that Rajshri Productions can’t seem to break out of the mold they have cemented themselves in!
