Gangland widow Roberta Williams trashed camera equipment in an extraordinary interview - as viewers speculated as to whether she had work done on her face.

The outspoken wife of slain crime boss Carl Williams erupted in anger during an interview with A Current Affair reporter Reid Butler due to be broadcast on Monday night.

A preview of the explosive segment released on Friday appeared to start well with Ms Williams and the journalist exchanging pleasantries.

But proceedings then turned sour after being asked a yet-to-be revealed question.

'I'm not getting into it,' she said as the reporter tries to reason with her.

Ms Williams suddenly could be seen throwing camera equipment onto the floor, before grappling with the reporter in the hallway.

With a crowd of people surrounding them, she also lashed out at Butler with her hand - saying 'seven f***ing questions.' 

Social media commenters were split in terms of their level of support for the gangland widow's behaviour on the set of the interview.

'Why can't people leave her alone she's gone through enough,' one user wrote.

But others thought she should not have been asked for the interview in the first place, with one user asking 'Why are people still giving her air time?'

Others were more interested by Ms Williams' facial appearance, with one user speculating whether she had had her lips filled.

'Are we all guessing? I think the question is - when did you get lip fillers?' one user said.

'Looks like her face is ready to go pop,' another added.
