Washington, Feb 14: It's like one of those stories right from the time machine. An 82-year-old woman in Jeffersonville, Indiana, US, had lost her purse containing a prom invitation, photographs and other items more than six decades ago when she was in her 20s and it was recovered just recently.

Martha Everett's black-stitched possession was found by the workers while demolishing part of the old Jeffersonville High School where the woman was a senior student in 1955. The bag lied behind the science classroom cabinets, AFP reported.

Erin Bojorquez, spokesperson of Greater Clark County Schools, said the elderly woman could be tracked through social media after one of her relatives saw a post about the purse on Facebook.

As per reports in The News and Tribune, the lost-and-found wallet had a wallet, an invitation letter, lipstick, photographs, among others inside.
