According to a new study, exposure to a chemical found ??in weedkiller can up your risk of getting cancer by over 40 percent.

??The study from the University of Washington examined existing epidemiologic studies produced between 2001 and 2018 and found that exposure to glyphosate??Could increase the risk of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma by nearly 41 percent.

The study also incorporated research of a 2015 cancer study that classified glyphosate as a ‘probable human carcinogen’.??Glyphosate is a chemical used in pesticides since the 1970’s and can be found in the weedkiller brand Round-Up.

??Monsanto who makes Round-Up has had several lawsuits brought against them??from people who claim they got cancer because of using the weedkiller.

??However, Monsanto still says its glyphosate herbicides are safe to use, according to the Dailymail.

??The Environmental Protection Agency also says chemical is safe to use.??But research published in the journal of Environmental Sciences Europe says organizations like the EPA??Ignored independent studies linking the chemical to cancer and instead focusing on mostly positive studies of glyphosate.

??The DailyMail went on to report a spokesperson for the EPA says they are reviewing their findings about glyphosate??
