Wearing dhoti, kurta and with Sanskrit commentary in cricket, this Varanasi school does a Lagaan 
Cricket, now the most popular sport of all times, has continuously evolved through the times, but for a school in Varanasi. They recently held a tournament and for a moment one could not  help but wonder if this was a scene from Ashutosh Gowariker’s magnum opus Lagaan . 
The Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vidyalaya had organised a cricket tournament on the 75th foundation year of the school and players were dressed in traditional dhoti and kurta. The game was limited to 10 overs and the players were barefoot with three lines of the sacred ash on their foreheads. Interestingly, even the umpires and commentators were seen in traditional Indian attire and the commentary was done in Sanskrit. The tournament happens every year.

The Bollywood film Uri- The Surgical Strike not only deals with the actual incident of 2016, but also drives home the many sacrifices of the Indian Army. It also brings to mind Major Akshay Girish Kumar, who was martyred in 2016. However, in a recent video, his 6-year old daughter is seen recalling conversations with her father about the Indian Army and it brims with patriotism. “Army is to make us love. Army is to fight with bad uncles...” says Naina in the video, which has gone viral and has left many a citizen teary-eyed.
Developer husband’s everlasting bloom for wife, perfect gift idea for Valentine’s Day
With Valentine’s Day almost upon us, this inspiring tale of a husband who created an ‘everlasting bloom’ for his wife may be nothing short of inspirational. The man,  Jirí Praus, who calls himself a “developer during the day, hardware maker at night” invented a mechanical tulip blooms which when touched, turns red, white, or blue. In a tweet, he said that the flower will “never fade.” His posts have created a rage on social media and other husbands have contacted him, maybe to get tips.
