S. Ilakkiya and S. Madhumitha, third-year electrical and electronic engineering students of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, were selected for the Punjab Technical University Award for Young Engineer Innovators.
The students also bagged the first prize at The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) National Convention held in Ahmedabad recently. According to a press release, the students were presented the award for their project on Shoe-based Ambulatory Prevention of Diabetic Foot Ulcers. The objective of the collaborative project was to survey the crucial health concerns of diabetic patients.
M. Dhanasekaran, Chairman cum Managing Director of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, S.V. Sugumaran, Vice-Chairman and MLA and Secretary Dr. K. Narayanasamy felicitated the students.
