Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has introduced its compact SUV, the XUV300, at an all India ex-showroom starting price of ₹7.90 lakh for the petrol base variant and ₹8.49 lakh for the diesel base variant.
XUV300, which is developed on SsangYong’s Tivoli platform, will compete with Maruti Brezza and Ford EcoSport as well as other compact SUVs available in the market.
XUV500 design
‘The XUV300 has the same ‘cheetah-inspired’ design as XUV500, which M&M had introduced in 2011.
“The XUV brand, when launched in 2011, was an inflection moment in our automotive journey. Today, as we launch the XUV300, we take the aspirational levels higher,” Anand Mahindra, chairman, Mahindra Group, said. “Based on the X100 platform of SsangYong, the XUV300 is a true-blue global product which combines Korean technology with Indian innovation and finesse. The XUV300 would appeal to all, specially today’s millennial, who would cherish the vehicle’s fun-to-drive nature,” he said.

“It has many segment-first hi-tech features, luxurious space to seat 5 people and best-in-segment fit and finish,” he said.
SsangYong has sold more than 2.6 lakh units of Tivoli in over 50 countries since its launch in 2015.Mahindras are expecting a better performance by XUV300 in India.
