- The spacious paddock was the couple's favourite location for chasing storms
A storm chaser has shared a snap of the powerful moment he proposed to his girlfriend against a dramatic meteorological background.
Thomas Hinterdorfer, 24, proposed to his girlfriend of six months Amber Hardie, 27, in Bellthorpe, in the Sunshine Coast's south-west on Tuesday at about 5.15pm.
The professional storm chaser of six years perfectly timed the romantic moment with the storm breaking just minutes after he popped the question.

Mr Hinterdorfer bought the ring in December but said he had to delay the engagement until 2019 due to lacklustre storms.
'There were many attempts where I had to pull out because the moment was just not right but everything eventually worked out,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
'It wasn't the perfect storm but the imperfection of it was outweighed by the perfection of having my bestfriends and Amber there.'
The field of grass was the ideal proposal spot because it was the couple's favourite spot for witnessing storms.
'It's just the spot we always seemed to end up when we're chasing storms. It had an amazing view,' he said.
The location was also the same spot where he snapped his favourite storm shot two years ago.
He dashed half a kilometre to ask permission from the owners, who had recently purchased the paddock, to access the land for his proposal when he saw the storm had started shaping up.
The 24-year-old managed to get Amber to run with him onto the field to 'chase the storm'.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) showed a heart-shaped map on the MetEye storm forecast on the day of the proposal.

Although Mr Hinterdorfer bought the ring during the festive season, he said he wanted to avoid a cliché proposal during Christmas or New Year's and opted for something 'unique'.
'Amber has been nothing short of amazing ever since she rocked up in into my life,' he wrote on Facebook.
'She's slotted into this Crazy world of storm chasing and weather monitoring, dealing with my crazy sleepless hours, long days and stressful moments.
'To my gorgeous fiancée, my partner, best friend, my storm chasing partner … and now my future wife .. I'm honoured to have you in my life.'
The pair are due to tie the knot in 2020 after Mr Hinterdorfer embarks on a tornado chasing journey in the US.
