Rohtak: A 35-year-old man and his wife were stabbed to death by unidentified persons at Padav Mohalla in Rohtak on Wednesday.
Ashok Kumar and his wife Soniya Devi had been staying in the mohalla for the past several years. Seven years back they had got married against their wishes of their parents, sources said. Ashok worked at a mobile store on Railway Road.

On Wednesday, neighbours saw dogs roaming inside their house. When they went inside the house, they found Soniya’s body on the veranda and Ashok’s body on the floor in one of the rooms.

Inspector Parveen Malik, SHO, Shivaji Nagar police station, reached the spot along with a team of forensic science laboratory (FSL).

Police said they have got a footage of CCTV camera installed near the crime spot in which a man could be seen running away from the spot. He might be involved in the crime, police said.

Police have registered a case of murder against unidentified persons on the complaint of Ashok’s brother Anand Kumar.

Sources said a third person was there in the house on Tuesday night when the crime occurred.
