Maryland State Police revealed the charges against Samantha Marsh on Wednesday, one day after taking her into custody
Nearly 20 criminal counts have been filed in Maryland against a 33-year-old woman accused of having sex with four students from the high school where she was working as the school’s nurse, PEOPLE confirms.
Maryland State Police revealed the charges against Samantha Marsh on Wednesday, one day after taking the Crisfield woman into custody, where she remains without bond.
Marsh faces 10 counts of fourth-degree sex offense, four counts of perverted practice, four counts of contributing to the condition of a child and one count of attempted fourth-degree sex offense.
According to a statement on the investigation, detectives started looking into anonymous allegations they’d received about the nurse at Crisfield Academy and High School on Monday.
Quickly, they allegedly learned that Marsh had several illicit sexual encounters with four high schoolers.
The sex acts occurred between March 2018 and last month.
The statement insists none occurred on school grounds. Instead, Marsh is alleged to have had inappropriate sexual contact with the teens in the back of her van, while parked in other locations around Crisfield.
Police allege that Marsh, who was placed on administrative leave just prior to her arrest, confessed to performing oral sex on three of the students.
It was unclear Thursday if Marsh had an attorney who could speak on her behalf, or if she had appeared before a judge to enter pleas to the charges against her.
