Some Married At First Sight fans are speculating that contestants are incompatibly matched in order to maximise on-screen drama.
But two of the show's 'relationship experts' have defended the awkward pairing of 'ex-virgin' Matthew Bennett, 29, and sexually adventurous Lauren Huntriss, 31.
On Talking Married on Wednesday night, Mel Schilling and John Aitken claimed they weren't 'fully aware' of Lauren's past experiences in the bedroom.

Speaking with Talking Married host Jayne Azzapardi, John stated: 'Look there are certain things people disclose and don't disclose, and we weren't aware fully of Lauren's history in that respect.'
Mel enthusiastically nodded in agreement, seeming to imply that she was also shocked by Lauren's recent revelations.
On Monday night's episode of MAFS, Lauren dropped a bombshell claiming she 'used to be a lesbian', before asking Matthew whether he would be interested in 'threesomes' and 'swinging'.

The blonde's admissions appeared to have rattled Matthew, who was a virgin up until their honeymoon.
Meanwhile, mismatched couples aren't the only thing that MAFS fans have been disgruntled by.
This week, more than 50,000 viewers demanded Mel be sacked from the show after she lectured contestant Bronson Norrish over his use of the C-word.

Fans claimed the relationship guru then gave a free pass to the 'abusive' behaviour of Bronson's 'wife' Ines Basic.
However, Mel sensationally hit back at her critics and insisted that it is never acceptable to call a person a 'c**t'.
Mel said she would 'absolutely' call out Bronson again if given the opportunity, because she believes using that sort of language is always 'inappropriate'.
Married At First Sight continues Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine
