Telangana EDCET 2019 application process to commence on February 28

HYDERABAD: The application process for Telangana Education Common Entrance Test (EDCET) shall commence from February 28 and conclude on April 10, 2019, without any late fee.
This decision was taken during the first test committee meeting held at the Telangana State Council of Higher Education on Thursday. According to a press release issued by the TSCHE, a detailed notification over Edcet will be issued on February 25 and the exam will be held on May 31 in two slots – 11 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm. General category students have to pay exam fee of Rs 650 and SC/ST category students have to pay Rs 450.
The last date of submission of online application with late fee of Rs 500 is April 20, Rs 1,000 is April 30 and Rs 2,000 is May 4, 2019 respectively. This year too, the examination will be held online. This year too, the Osmania University has been entrusted with the conduct of the entrance test by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education.
The test will be conducted in 11 regional centres of which two are in Andhra Pradesh – Vijayawada and Kurnool. “The results will be declared on June 15, 2019,” read the press release. Last year, 32,330 students had appeared for Telangana Edcet. As many as 30,606 had qualified in the exam.
