26-year-old kidnapped, thrashed

Picture for representational purpose onlyGURUGRAM: A 26-year-old man was kidnapped at gunpoint from near Sohna tehsil office by six men in a Scorpio on Wednesday morning. He was later dumped near Palwal.
Ranbir, a resident of Abheypur village, has accused his acquaintances from Mewat of targeting him, suspecting he had clues about a girl who had gone missing from his family. After getting information about the abduction from a local, a police team started tracking and chasing the vehicle. Later Ranbir was found near Palwal. “They held me hostage at gunpoint and thrashed me,” he said.
An FIR has been registered under IPC sections 365 (kidnap), 323 (causing hurt), 342 (wrongful confinement), 34 (common intention), 506 (criminal intimidation) and section 25-54-59 of Arms Act at Sohna city police station.
