HYDERABAD: Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili of the Telangana high court on Wednesday directed the state government and panchayat raj commissioner to refer all the ‘doubtful’ questions given in the recent written test held for recruiting panchayat secretaries to an expert committee.
The judge was dealing with scores of petitions filed by several aspirants who raised objections over the way the questions were framed and answers given in the key. They raised objections over at least 20 questions saying that they were either incomplete or confusing when compared with the answers given in the key.
“The experts committee will furnish its report to the panchayat raj commissioner, who will take remedial steps,” Ramesh Chilla, counsel for some of the petitioners, said.
“If our grievances are not redressed, we will again approach the court,” he told TOI. The judge directed the commissioner to constitute the experts panel and furnish to it the questions along with the key.
The judge, however, closed all the petitions after recording the assurance given by the government that it would attend to the problem.
Explaining about one of the faulty questions, the counsel said there was question on MGNREGS coming into effect. The answer was shown in the key as 2006. “But the correct answer would be 2009 as the word Mahatma was added to the scheme in 2009,” he said.
