International students mingle with students of PDPU

The School of Liberal Science, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University recently organised the 5th Study in India short term, Pan India which saw participation from 13 students along with their professor from The Sacred Heart University, Connecticut, United States. The program focussed on cross cultural context considering people, behaviour and communication.
The students undertook various activities under the program including visiting Rani Ki Vav stepwell, sun temple in Modhera, a trip to an NGO, a trek in Sembalpani, a visit to the Amul Dairy and Chocolate Plant located in Anand and many other activities. The students also attended lectures by Mr. Nirav Shah and by Mr. Virendra Rawat who spoke about Development of urban sector in India-opportunities and challenged and on Indian Business structure: Sustainable education sector respectively.
As a part of buddy activity, the PDPU volunteers organized a dance workshop for the students of SHU where the students enjoyed a great deal. On the same day the PDPU students organised an Indian Food Festival which involved joint cooking. SHU students and faculty members enjoyed the bonding over the lunch.
The international students, along with the student volunteers from PDPU, also attended a yoga session too that by Ms. Riri Trivedi.
The program helped the students of PDPU and the students of The Sacred Heart University to bond and to understand each other’s cultures and other habits.
