Congress party is getting into Lok Sabha poll mode with a three-day brainstorming session to discuss the strategy and evolve an action plan from Friday.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Parliamentary constituency-wise preparatory meetings would be held from February 15 to 17 at a private hotel where discussions will be held with present and former MPs, MLAs, MLCs, ZP chairpersons, ZPTCs, MPPs, contested MLA candidates, PCC office bearers, DCC presidents among others where they will represent their respective Parliamentary constituency.
He said on an average there will be representation of at least 10 top leaders from each Assembly constituency. Analysis of strengths and weakesses and the strategies to overcome the latter will be held for six Parliamentary constituencs everyday. The first day will cover Adilabad, Peddapalli, Nizamabad, Zaheerabad, Karimnagar and Warangal Lok Sabha constituencies followed by Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Nalgonda and Bhongir the next day.
On the last day they will have brainstorming sessions on Chevella, Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Medak constituencies. “Each day, we will have six-hour long sessions wherein strategy and action plan for each Lok Sabha constituency will be discussed. The idea is to involve maximum number of leaders in preparing an effective strategy,” Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy said. He said the TPCC Coordination Committee will meet on February 16 to discuss alliances and the next day TPCC Election Committee will meet. to short-list the candidates for Lok Sabha seats, he said. AICC incharge for Telangana R.C. Khuntia, AICC secretaries Bose Raju, Salim Ahmed, Srinivasan Krishnan will also take part.
