Budget should reflect govt commitments: Chief Minister

Maximum provision for welfare and agriculture

The vote-on-account Budget to be presented to the State Assembly should be prepared in such a way that it reflects all the commitments made to the people and maximum provision should be made for the welfare of people and for the development of agriculture, said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Thursday.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the Budget formulation at Pragathi Bhavan attended by Chief Secretary S. K. Joshi, finance advisor G. R. Reddy, Principal Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, CMO Principal Secretary Narsing Rao and others.

Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao said that adequate budgetary provision should be made in such a way that the commitments made in the recent elections would be fulfilled while continuing the existing schemes.

The meeting had a detailed discussion about government’s priorities, schemes and the expenditure likely to be incurred on them.
