The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) will host an international conference on global health and medical tourism (GIoHMT) on March 7-10.
The conference aims at creating a platform for industry and academia to interact, deliberate and create knowledge resources that will be useful to all stakeholders as well as contribute to the growth of the sector.
The four-day conference comprises research-driven and highly interactive technical sessions by industry veterans. It also includes panel discussions on key segments and topics such as the global health scenario and medical tourism issues in India, mental health, substance abuse and well-being, and new arena in medical tourism. Additionally, it also includes an Ayurvedic showcase and experience day, a statement said here on Wednesday.
The second phase of the global health conference, which is set to be held at the Indian Institute of Health Management Research University in Jaipur from March 11-13, will witness various sessions and panel discussions on related topics along with a visit to the cultural village located in Jaipur, it said.
