Love in the air with ‘O Sanam...’ on the eve of Valentine’s Day

Nagpur: It was a wave of love in the air for music lovers of the city at the concert titled ‘O Sanam Tere Ho Gaye Hum’, organized by Sound of Music on the eve of Valentine’s Day at Arpan Hall of Mor Bhavan, Sitabuldi, on Wednesday.
The programme was conceptualized by Babubhai Patel and was themed at celebrating Valentine’s Day with engaging romantic tracks.
The evening kicked off with the famous ‘Mere khwabon mein jo aaye’ and set the tone for the remaining part of the programme. ‘Tere jaisa yaar kahan’, ‘Pehla nasha pehla khumaar’, ‘Bahut pyaar karte hain’, ‘Jab chhaye tera jaadu’ and ‘Tum jo mil gaye ho toh ye lagta hai’ were the few songs that portrayed different shades of love.
Other romantic songs like ‘O mere shahe khubaan’ and ‘Dil ka alam main kya bataun tumhein’ were appreciated by the audience.
‘O sanam tere yaadon ki kasam’, originally sung by Lucky Ali, was the favourite by popular opinion. Contrasting beats of ‘Aaye ho meri zindagi mein tum bahar bann ke’ and ‘Achha ji main haari chalo maan jao na’ gave the concert an edge and showcased love at its full glory.
Songs ‘Jhoom jhoom jhoom baba’, ‘Madahosh dil ki dhadkan’ and ‘Aaye mere humsafar’ received huge cheers for an encore.
Many super hit songs sung by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Kumar Sanu and Kishore Kumar were presented that garnered huge rounds of applause. The listeners were swaying their heads and exchanging smiles and glances with their partners.
Singers Naresh Kawle, Dilip Gadve, Sanjay Pillai, Rupali Desroy, Neetu Kewalramani, Ashok Darokar, Anjali Darokar, Jassi Darokar, Seema Luha, Vandana Vandile, Preeti Khote and Ashwini Devghare lent their voices to make the evening memorable. Talking about the concept, Babubhai Patel said, “Bollywood music has always been a voice of love for a long time with its array of emotions. We wanted to celebrate the Valentine’s Day the Bollywood way.”
