SUV fired at, no casualty reported
tnn | Feb 14, 2019, 04:00 ISTRajkot: Five persons going in their SUV were shot at by one of the four assailants at Popatpara Nala in Rajkot on Tuesday night. According to the complaint lodged by Mirzad Khiyani, the bullet did not hit anyone, but it shattered the glass of the car’s window.
The car was being driven by Khiyani while his brothers Mustafa and Abdul as well as his friends Sunil Bhaktani and Dhawal Patel were the other occupants.
In his complaint, Khiyani has accused Anees, Tanvir alias Tanudo, Akali and Langho alias Afzal of launching the attack on him. He said that the attack was the result of old enmity between him and Anees.
“Though the car’s side window pane was shattered, whether it was caused by firing or not is yet to be probed. We have sought the help of forensic science laboratory to assist us in the investigation,” said an official from Padyumannagar police station.
