A brave punter has put down the biggest bet to date on champion mare Winx ahead of her next big race on the Saturday.
The anonymous punter has bet $250,000 on the superstar horse to win her 30th consecutive race at the Apollo Stakes at Royal Randwick in Sydney.

'The bet of $250,000 at $1.08 is the biggest that has been placed on Winx during her winning run and eclipses the $201,200 wager at $1.22 on her to win last year's Cox Plate,' TAB's Trent Langskaill said.
The punter isn't the first to put their faith and a massive bet on Winx, with the second largest bet on the mare coming in at $201,200 at $1.22 in the 2018 Cox Plate.
A fearless punter dubbed 'Winx Man' in horse racing circles has also risked $1.2million betting on the superstar mare across 11 starts.
But despite Winx winning all of those races, 'Winx Man' only made a little over $153,000 from the 11 bets.
Saturday's Apollo stakes could be one of the most difficult fields Winx has faced during her historic run with seven clear rivals lining up against her.

There are whispers this could be the last campaign, consisting of three races, for Winx and trainer Chris Waller said whatever the future held he was going to savour every moment
They include five of the horse's stablemates, starting with Patrick Erin, Brimham Rocks, Tom Melbourne, Unforgotten and Egg Tart, Punters reported.
There are whispers this could be the last racing campaign for Winx and her trainer Chris Waller said whatever the future held he was going to savour every moment.
'Winx hasn't changed one bit, which is scary to think,' Waller told Racing.com.
'We are constantly looking for the body clock to suggest that she's not as effective as she has been. She's not showing any signs whatsoever.
'Her attitude is great. She's moving well and her work has been great.'
To date, the superstar seven-year-old mare has won close to a staggering $23million in stakes and will look to add to that purse on Saturday.
