BJP MLA's house attacked in Hassan city
Shrinivasa M | TNN | Feb 13, 2019, 14:37 ISTHASSAN: JD(S) activists allegedly pelt stones on Hassan MLA Preetham J Gowda's residence in the city. His residence is located in the Vidyanagar of the Hassan city.
Preetham J Gowda is the lone non-JD(S) MLA from the Hassan district which is considered as the strong bastion of JD(S). Earlier JD(S) activists seized the house of Preetham J Gowda over his alleged statements against the former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's family in a leaked audio clip.
As the audio clip went viral, the JDS activists gathered in a large number infront of his house and engaged in a war of words with BJP activists.
A BJP activist sustained injuries near his right eye in the stone pelting. He has been rushed to a local hospital. JDS activists also pelted stones on a car parked inside Gowda's residence and on the gate.
Additional police personnel rushed to the spot to disperse the mob.
