The body of an unidentified person was spotted floating in the Periyar river close to U.C. College, Aluva, on Tuesday evening. The police said that the body was found around 6.30 p.m. It could not be recovered owing to poor light. The body was found tied to a stone. It will be fished out on Wednesday morning. The police have secured the scene as part of recovering the body.
