Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Infosys, has inaugurated facilities in two high schools in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, as part of an MoU signed earlier. The Foundation has built toilets at Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka High School, Kolar District in Karnataka, and constructed classrooms and toilet blocks in the Zilla Parishad High School in Kanipakam, Chittoor District in Andhra Pradesh, it said in a statement. The statement added that the Foundation continues to support the construction of roads, provide electricity and drinking water, and rehabilitate flood-affected victims in remote areas. The Foundation also actively engages in livelihood projects such as awareness campaigns on hygiene, sanitation, vocational training and entrepreneurship in rural India.
