The
Rajya Sabha was on Wednesday adjourned sine die after it passed some Bills including Interim Budget and Finance Bill for 2019-20 without debate. With the adjournment of this last session of Rajya Sabha before the polls, couple of contentious bills including Triple Talaq Bill and Citizenship Amendment Bill also lapsed.

Sabha passed the Interim Budget and Finance Bill 2019-20 without a debate. The Interim Budget, Appropriation Bills and Finance Bill were passed by a voice vote in the Upper House after a broad consensus was arrived among political parties to pass them without debate.
Earlier in the day the house was adjourned till noon after opposition
Samajwadi Party and TMC created ruckus in the House over different issues.
While Samajwadi Party MPs protested police lathicharge on party leaders and workers in Allahabad on Tuesday, TMC displayed posters against the BJP government over the Rafale fighter jet deal.
Trouble broke out soon after listed papers were presented to the House with members of both parties rushing towards the well of the House.

The Budget Session of Parliament commenced on January 31.
Proceedings of the House were washed out on Tuesday as well because of the issue as SP members vociferously protested.
