Hardik Patel yet to take final decision to contest 2019 Lok Sabha election; Jignesh and Kanhiya to campaign against BJP

RAJKOT: Patidar leader Hardik Patel said that he has yet not taken final decision to contest 2019 Lok Sabha election, he clarified that he wants to contest the election but when is yet to finalized. Dalit leader Jignesh Mewani clarified that he is not going to contest next general election but he will campaign against BJP while former president of Jawaharlal Nehru University student’s union Kanhiya Kumar has not given any specific reply to this question. The trio addressed media persons in Rajkot on Wednesday.
The three youth leaders are holding a public rally and public meeting in Rajkot which is the constituency of chief ministry Vijay Rupani to ‘save constitution and save nation’. Hardik alleged that police tried it’s best to not allow to hold a rally in the Rajkot city and the posters have come out against the rally. He said “We are organizing this rally because the government is violating the provisions of constitution, the constitutional institutions like CBI, RBI, and election commission have lost the credibility in the eyes of general public.” He emphasized that “We are against BJP not India.”

Kanhiya and Jignesh are organizing such rallies in all over India and this is the first such kind of rally to kick start from Rajkot which is considered politically strong hold of BJP. Addressing media persons Kanhiya said “We are not anti-national or traitor, the sedition charges imposed by government are not proved in court of law.” He said “more than dozen people of my family are serving the nation in various forces, my one bother who was in CRFP martyred and my grandfather was freedom fighter” He also alleged that present government is misusing constitutional institution for it’s own benefit like “BJP IT sell knows the election date before declared by election commission, ED start interrogation of Robert Vadra within hours of Priynaka joining active politics.” In a reply of a question that Kanhiya don’t chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ he said “I chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Jai Hind’ but nobody is authorized to measure my love to my nation.”
