TNN | Feb 13, 2019, 07:41 ISTLudhiana: BJP leaders kicked off the election campaign in the city by putting up party flags and stickers at houses of their workers and leaders on Tuesday.
As part of ‘my family, BJP family’, voters will also be urged to put up party flags and stickers outside their houses.
The drive has been started by party leaders at the national level with an aim to convince voters to elect Narendra Modi again as PM and giving another chance to the NDA government.
District BJP president Jatinder Mittal said, “From Tuesday onwards, we have formally kicked off the election campaigning at the national level. Under this campaign, we will cover each house in the district.” He said they will try to put up party flags on every terrace.
Party district vice-president Parminder Mehta said they have got the list of beneficiaries under the Union government schemes and they would approach these people. He said they would talk to people and if they approve, the party will put up its flags and stickers on their houses. He claimed that it would also help them to understand the mood of voters.
