- They immediately reported the find to police who used 4WD to locate the site
- Document at site indicates the remains could be a camper missing for five years
Human remains found by bushwalkers could be those of a camper who went missing five years ago.
On Monday, the bushwalker's discovered bones and camping gear during an expedition on Mt Charles in Wellington Park, Tasmania, and immediately contacted police.
Police officers used four-wheel-drive vehicles to access the site and conduct an examination of the scene.

Documents also found near the remains indicate they belong to Dale Godfrey.
Mr Godfrey has been missing since March 2013 and DNA analysis will be carried out to confirm the identity of the remains.
Mr Godfrey was last seen while camping on Mt Wellington.
Prior to going missing, Mr Godfrey had spent most of his time living in the Huonville area, south of Hobart, and was known as an experienced camper.
Mr Godfrey's family has been notified and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
