RRB Group D result likely to be released soon; tips for PET exam

NEW DELHI: Now the reverse counting for declaring the result for RRB Group D has started. According to the sources, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is going to release the RRB Group D result on or before February 20, 2019.
Earlier, the RRB Group D result was expected to be released on February 13, 2019. Without sighting any reasons, the Board has pushed the release date, at least for a week. Now the the RRB Group D results would be declared on or before February 20, 2019, certainly not before February 17, 2019.
Candidates, who are very confident about the positive outcome for their results, now they should be preparing for the Physical Endurance Test (PET). The PET would take place soon after the declaration of the RRB Group D results. The Board is expected to release the PET admit card within a week after releasing the Group D results.
Physical Efficiency Test
As the first activity, CBT has already been completed by the Board and candidates are awaiting for the results. Here we are giving details what to expect in Physicial Efficiency Test and Document Verification (DV) & Medical Test.
A cutt off mark will be released by the RRB for conducting the Physical test. Only the candidate who would fall under the cut off will have to appear for the PET, at the centre mentioned on their admit card.
RRB Group D: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is the second stage of the examination. After clearing the CBT, the candidates will be shortlisted to take the PET.
This exam will be held by the Railway Board to check the physical abilities of a candidate. After qualifying in CBT, it is compulsory to take the PET test.
Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates will be called for PET — Two times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs.
However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this limit as required to ensure availability of adequate candidates for all the notified posts. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criterion for PET is as under:
Male Candidates
1) Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down
2) Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
Female Candidates
1) Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down
2) Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance
RRB Group D Fee Refund
Those, who had appeared for the examination would be eligible for the fee refund. The RRB will initiate the process of refunding the fee to the candidates who had appeared for the RRB Group D examination through the bank accounts only. The candidates will get their fee refund in that account from where they had paid the examination fees. If the examination fee is paid through the credit card/debit card the fee will be refund to that card only. And if the fee is paid from the bank account, through net banking then candidate will get the refund in his/her bank account directly.
