BENGALURU: A 19-year-old business administration student and his partner were arrested in Suddaguntepalya, south Bengaluru, for allegedly trying to peddle ganja and LSD.
SG Palya police have recovered 10kg ganja and 18 LSD strips worth Rs 6.5 lakh from the duo.
Police said Neelakanthan N, 19, studies BBA in a private college and is from Thrissur, Kerala, while his partner, Junaid Ahmed, 24, is a resident of New Gurappanapalya.
Neelakanthan arrived in the city last year and has been living at a paying guest accommodation near his college. He initially got in touch with Junaid to procure ganja for himself, but later started selling LSD and ganja, among other banned substances, together.
“They used to bring drugs from a man in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh,” said police, adding Junaid had earlier been arrested by Mico Layout police for selling ganja and was out on bail in December 2018.
Preliminary investigation revealed Neelakanthan used to target IT employees, especially women staying in PG accommodations, to sell narcotics.
