AGRA: Accusing AMU's proctor Mohsin Khan and registrar Abdul Hamid of protecting ‘anti-social elements’, Aligarh’s BJP workers have shot a letter to the Union HRD minister Prakash Javdekar urging him to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe their actions. They have also demanded that the security of the university should be handed over to the district administration.
In a letter to HRD minister, district media incharge of the BJP Nishit Sharma wrote that the proctor and registrar are incapable of protecting the students adding that the AMU’s anti-social elements have become “aggressive” just like the Kashmir stone-pelters.
Meanwhile, Hindu Yuva Vahini activists burnt an effigy of the AMU administration at DS College to protest against the assault of some students of a community on Tuesday.
Founding member of Hindu Chatra Yuva Vahini Aditya Pandit said, “We demand that the Union government should take cognizance of the matter and take action against the anti-social elements inside the campus."
