Jamalpur police have booked a brother duo — Armaan and Ashwani of Nakodar in Jalandhar district — for duping Balwinder Singh of Machhiwara on the pretext of getting him a visa for Malaysia. The complainant said the accused took Rs30,000, Rs48,000, and Rs25,000 from him on different dates, but did not get him the visa.
Woman arrested with narcotic powder
The police have arrested Namatovu Anisha with 100g narcotic powder when she came to Ludhiana Central jail to meet her husband Obiji Chilo, who is lodged in jail. During frisking, the powder was recovered from her. Division 7 police have registered a case in the matter.
Mobile snatched from Raj visitor
Anil Bishnoi of Rajasthan came to Textile Colony in the city to attend a function, and after attending the function, he said when he was walking towards Manju cinema, two bike-borne accused snatched his MI-Note 4 mobile. Division 6 police have lodged an FIR.
