The new bus station includes 12 bus stands (two of which are able to accommodate longer, articulated buses), six layover stands, staff and passenger facilities including toilets and CCTV, and digital passenger information displays.
At full capacity, Curtin Central Bus Station will accommodate up to 80 bus services during peak times, servicing the growing public transport needs of the nearby community, including Curtin University’s Bentley campus, over the coming decades.
About one million public transport users pass through the existing Curtin University Bus Station on Hayman Road every year, with numbers expected to grow to four million by 2035.
Curtin Central Bus Station will be complemented by recreational facilities, retail outlets and public spaces to create an integrated transit oriented development hub.
