Over the past few decades, BJP has managed to rule social media. BJP is well handling both of its social media account, leader of its supporters putting some interesting posts on Facebook and Twitter. But handling a well-coordinated campaign might lead to manipulation which seems like BJP is learning in a hard way. On Wednesday, BJP leader and MoS Pon Radhakrishnan shared a tweet criticising Modi government, which the leader deleted later. The tweet read, “working for the middle class is low on the agenda of Modi Govt”. The same tweet was later shared by Assam BJP on it’s Twitter handle.
How do you get a Union Minister to tweet what you want? Well, you go and edit the trending document made by BJP IT cell, and then you control what they tweet. Thread.
Here’s the video of this morning when their trending document got automagically updated 🙂

And then you can get a Union Minister to tweet that “working for the middle class is low on the agenda of Modi Govt”

This tweet left many in shocked, and some were left assumed that the handle was hacked or worse. Pratik Sinha, co-founder of Alt-News tweeted a video of how people can edit the public Google document provided by BJP IT personnel to its social media teams. The video shows the document being edited live with ‘positive’ attributes of Modi government being changed to negative.
You can get a BJP state unit and a Union Minister to tweet that “Modi govt has not made inclusive development as the focal point”

You can get all IT cell coolies to tweet that Modi govt has destroyed all villages in India. Or that Modi Govt has made women a slave of “धुएं”/cooking”

For eg, in the past, @PonnaarrBJP tweeted that bringing ‘down’ approval time “600 to 1800” is an improvement. No one noticed this. Because they didn’t know that they were tweeting from an edited document even back then.

Will let the BJP IT cell figure out where all they have bungled and how often have they tweeted out of edited documents. 🙂

Sinha said, “While it might seem like a laughing matter, the purpose here is to demonstrate that a non-government entity sitting in BJP’s office is controlling what a Union Minister is tweeting.”

Sinha shared a Google Drive document on Twitter whic contains a set of prepared tweets with a hashtag ‘#Modi4NewIndia’. In the video, we can see changes can be made to already prepared tweets. For example, a tweet showing PM Modi in a negative way which later turned into a positive one such as “PM Modi took care of the needs of the richest section”, “India jumped from 77nd to 142th [sic] ranking in Ease of Doing Business ranking”, “Now transportation is expensive”.
Here’s when Sinha mentioned how Pon Radhakrishnan’s tweet on PM Modi was made into positive one. Sinha’s this revelation has left social media people talking. See how the Twitteratis have reacted:
Respect to the automagicians. Aside from the obvious 🤣, fascinating to see the Daily Trend Factory’s assembly line close up.
