CBSE Board Exams 2019: Check important features and new initiatives introduced

NEW DELHI: As per the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), a total of 18,27,472 candidates will appear in the board examination for Class 10th in academic session 2018-19. Total 12,87,359 candidates will appear for the Class 12th board exams 2018-19.
In class 10th, out of the total students appearing for the Board exam 2018-19, there are 10,70,579 boys, 7,56,894 girls and 22 transgenders. In class 12th board exam 2018-19, a total of 7,48,498 boys, 5,38,861 girls and 6 transgenders will appear for the examination .
CBSE Class 10th board exam is scheduled from March 7, 2019- March 29, 2019. Class 12th CBSE board exams will begin on March 2, 2019 and will conclude on April 4, 2019.
Students are also informed that the entry time to the examination center is 10:00 AM sharp. Late entry will not be permitted.
This year CBSE even claims to release the board results one week earlier than the previous years.
Further this year, CBSE will be providing 33% more internal choices in the question papers, to the students. Consideration will be given to creative answers.
CBSE has even adopted new IT initiatives on the examination. Students can locate their centers on the Google map by giving their roll numbers. CBSE will also make use of Theory Evaluation Trend Analysis (TETRA) which will facilitate real time evaluation monitoring and visualizing of score patterns by students across different regions.
Measures has been taken by CBSE for CWSN students too- considering 21 categories of disabilities, facilities of scribe and assistive devices.
