Tamil Nadu man arrested for sexually assaulting daughter

NAGAPATTINAM: Police on Wednesday arrested a 40-year-old agriculture labourer on charges of sexually assaulting his daughter near Vedaranyam in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu.
The accused has two daughters, aged 15 and 14 years. His wife is working abroad as a housemaid.
The man arrived home in an inebriated condition late at night on Tuesday. His daughters were fast asleep. He allegedly sexually assaulted his younger daughter.
Their relatives came to know about the incident on Wednesday morning. They lodged a complaint with the Vaimedu police. The police registered a case against the man and arrested him.
