The musical nite started with the mellifluous rendition of song ‘Yeh phulon ki rani, yeh baharon ki mallika’. Shrikant Sapre soon took over and came up with spectacular songs like ‘Hai duniya uski’ and ‘Kya hua tera vada’ which touched the heart of the audience who rooted for an encore.
Soon the audience was transported into a nostalgic mode as other singers like Vivek Joshi, Shrikant Rode, Ashwini Devghare and Jairaj Markand displayed amazing control over their voice. In fact, Ashwini Devghare’s ‘Teri aankhon ke siwa’ was liked a lot by the audience.
Other singers of the evening were Surendra Sharma, Sanjay Patil, Sujata Patil, Jai Tandan, Jayashree Like, Dhanraj Raut, Shakil Qureshi, Surendra Mandekar, Sulbha Mandekar and Ashok Bagul.
However, Shrikant Sapre stood out with his performance. The show was a treat for those who love 90s songs.
