Kolhapur: 351 cops transferred before polls

KOLHAPUR: As many as 351 police officers from across Kolhapur range have been transferred from their existing posts. Some have been transferred within the range, but outside district. While others have been transferred outside the range. The officers who had completed their two years of service and those who were on duty in their home districts were considered for transfer, said a senior police officer. Kolhapur Range includes Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Solapur Rural and Pune Rural.
