“The Galaxy M30 could be Samsung’s first budget smartphone with triple rear cameras under sub-Rs 20,000”
Samsung’s new M series has caused quite a stir in the budget smartphone segment in India recently. However, the company is not quite done with the series yet as there have been reports of the Galaxy M30 looming large. A new leak over the weekend has revealed some interesting things about Samsung’s forthcoming budget smartphone.
The leaked schematics come from Pricekart and reveal not just the rear and front of the smartphone, but also disclose some key specifications. In terms of design, there isn’t much to say as the handset looks similar to the Galaxy M20 (review). However, the schematics say that the phone will measure 159 x 75.1mm in dimensions. A key feature that will immediately draw attention is the alleged triple-camera setup on the rear of the device. According to the source, the setup will comprise 13MP + 5MP + 5MP sensors making the M30 the first phone to boast a triple-camera array in the affordable segment. The front camera is expected to be a 16MP sensor placed inside the waterdrop notch while a USB Type-C port exists on the bottom end of the smartphone.
Previously leaked specs of the Galaxy M30 revealed a 6.38-inch display with Full-HD+ resolution while the processor (Exynos 7904) is believed to be same as the Galaxy M20. The most recent leak hinted that the handset would feature a more attractive gradient-coloured back which is non-existent in budget Samsung phones. As of now, there are no indications as to when the Galaxy M30 will be launched, however it’s suspected that Samsung could launch the device as soon as next month in India.
