Woman, 90, falls to death from terrace

CHENNAI: A 90-year-old woman trying to spit tobacco over a parapet fell to death from the terrace of her daughter's single-storey house in Kotturpuram on Saturday, police said.
Senthamarai, the victim, was living ith her daughter in Chitra Nagar near Kotturpuram. She often sat on the terrace chewing tobacco. On Saturday, she was found lying in the pool of blood on the ground. Her family members and neighbours took her to Government Royapettah Hospital (GRH), where doctors declared her 'brought dead'.
The Kotturpuram police have registered a case of unnatural death under the CrPC Section 174.
