NOIDA: A Tata Manza car of a resident of Homes 121 was damaged on Sunday when a part of the ceiling of the basement parking fell on the car due to seepage. The slab damaged the windshield and roof. No one was injured.
“I got to know about the incident early on Monday when the guard informed me of the damage to my car. The heavy slab has damaged the roof and the windshield. Thankfully, no one was injured as the car was parked in the basement,” said Vishal Agarwal, the car owner. He added that the builder’s representative had promised to get his car repaired.
Dinesh Singh, RWA president of Homes 121, said though the apartment owners’ association is handling maintenance work at the society, the quality of construction does not fall under its purview. “In keeping with Rera rules, the responsibility of construction remains with the builder for at least five years since the building is constructed. We are a new RWA, about one year old, as we got possession in 2015 and took over charge from December 2017,” he said.
