Kite string slashes biker’s neck

Representative image KOLKATA: A Baruipur resident, who was riding a motorcycle, was critically injured on Sunday when a kite string slashed his neck around 9.30am. Rafikul Mollah (33) was taken to a local hospital in Baruipur, but doctors there found that arteries in his neck were damaged and referred him to a city hospital.
Firdous Mollah, his cousin, said Rafikul was admitted to Ruby hospital where he underwent a surgery. Doctors said his neck tissues were ruptured and he would be kept under observation for 48 hours.
