Nagpur declared ODF plus city

Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has received a boost after Central government’s team on Monday declared Nagpur ODF plus city. ‘ODF+’ grade means the city has hygienic and usable public toilets. This development will help the NMC to score 50 additional points in the Swachh Bharat survey of 2019.
In December 2017, the NMC was declared Open Defecation Free City. At the end of 2018, the NMC had applied for ODF+ status. A senior NMC official said in January, a third-party inspection was carried out and the public toilets in the city were found to be of high standard and also disabled friendly.
