Man shot at in Kamla Market; accused held within 2 hours

A 23-year-old man was injured after two men allegedly shot at him during a quarrel over a petty issue in Central Delhi's Kamla Market, police said Monday.

The incident took place late Sunday night and the two accused were nabbed within two hours, they said.

The man, Zubair, is a meat seller in the area and suffered a thigh injury in the incident.

The accused -- Javed (33), a resident of Hapur in and his associate Gulzar (27) who hails from Mustafabad -- were arrested after their vehicle's registration number was tracked down, officials said.

A pistol with 29 live cartridges was recovered from their possession, police said.
