Abandoned car triggers panic in Mullanpur
TNN | Feb 11, 2019, 06:49 ISTLudhiana: Panic gripped Mullanpur area after a car with UP registration number was found abandoned near a sports ground on Ludhiana-Ferozepur Road. Police have taken the vehicle into possession and started a probe into the matter.
Police officials said a grey coloured car bearing registration number UP32BT-6716 was standing near the sports ground since Saturday night.
They said on Sunday morning, morning walkers saw the vehicle abandoned near the stadium and informed the police.
Assistant sub-inspector Jarnail Singh of Mullanpur police station said all the doors of the vehicle were found open and slippers were found nearby.
Police officials said the front windowpane of the vehicle was also broken. They added that nothing else was found in the vehicle.
The ASI said they are investigating as to who parked the vehicle at the spot. He added that they will get details about its owner with the help of registration number.
Cops said the police will ascertain whether the number on the plate is true or fake. They said police will also check whether the car was being used by anti-social elements or was parked by its owner near the ground who might have gone somewhere.
