Ashok Dinda suffers horrific injury: Pacer hit on face during practice game- Watch

India and Bengal pacer Ashok Dinda suffered a horrific injury during a practice match on Monday. The pacer was struck hard on the forehead while trying to catch a straight drive from batsman Vivek Singh. 

Dinda was hit hard on his face and immediately went down on the ground as physios and other players rushed for assistance. The 34-year-old walked off the ground and was taken to a hospital for scans.

It has been learnt that after being hit by the shot, Dinda went down on the ground and lied there for a few minutes before getting up to bowl again and complete the over. However, he left the pitch soon after. He was taken to Nightingale Hospital where a CT scan was performed and he is reportedly fine. According to reports, he has advised 48 hours of rest.

The Bengal team is going through a match stimulation camp after the conclusion of the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season at the Eden Gardens.
